GIRLS’ SCHOOL FOOTBALL TEAM
Mudeford Phoenix Girls’ Football Club have been in partnership with Mudeford Junior School since 2002.
Phoenix Coaches, Frank Hunt and Stuart Gard have organized and managed the Girls’ School Football Team at no cost to the school or individual players from that time.
Since the start of the Girls’ Football Club, the team has been crowned Dorset Champions on three occasions. They have also won the Christchurch Cup six times.
The School Team’s finest achievement to date was in the season 2010-2011 when they reached the English Schools’ 7 - a – side National Finals at Watford. They were one of eight junior/primary teams in the country to reach this stage. In order to get to these Finals, the Team won The Dorset Cup and came second in The South West Region Cup. Whilst they were unsuccessful in their bid to win, all involved had a great time and it was a lovely experience.
