Cricket Challenges

We know that it is going to be tricky to keep children active during this period but we also know that it is vital to do so to support children's physical and mental wellbeing.

We want to help you in any way we can and we hope that our link to The Chance To Shine Cricket website can be a useful resource. Click the link here to find out more: https://www.chancetoshine.org/staying-active-during-the-covid-19-outbreak?utm_source=Portal+Teachers&utm_campaign=4d044a96ba-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2020_04_14_04_17&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_b4486fc5f7-4d044a96ba-138456549

They have a variety of lesson plans available on the portal to support cricket coaching, including explanation videos and top tips from the pros, which you can follow from home. They also have cricket-themed English and Maths lessons which I hope you will find useful.

Each week Chance to Shine will be uploading two new activities for you to try at home either individually or with a partner (sibling or parent). Keep an eye out on their Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

Their sessions so far include:

Week 1 - Cool Catcher

This week's session will revisit the 'Brilliant Bowler' theme and further develop children's bowling skills.

This session will encourage you to develop accuracy and know where to pitch the ball.
